First steps into product options

Welcome to Improved Product Options for WooCommerce guide.

This guide covers basic installation and setup instructions for your WooCommerce Shop.

First we need to install the Improved Product Options for WooCommerce plugin. Navigate to Plugins in your WordPress Dashboard.

Click Add New and then Upload Plugin. Upload the Improved Product Options for WooCommerce ZIP archive which you have downloaded officially from Envato, or Envato Elements websites. Any other source is not valid and you’ll be at risk.

When done, click the Activate Plugin button. Improved Product Options for WooCommerce is now set to go!

To visit plugin settings page and start this tutorial, navigate WooCommerce > Settings > Improved Product Options.

This page is the plugin headquarters. You’ll be able to set everthing you need from here.

Click on the Installation tab. Here you can set installation hooks, jQuery selectors and enable plugin scripts and use caching.

You will find all the general setting in the general tab. Specific options that apply only for single product page or the shop page can be found in the Product page and in the Shop/Archive tabs.

Creating attribute swatches and custom options are done in the Product Options tab.

That is done by selecting attribute swatch or custom option and clicking the add item button.

Now in the options manager we will see a tab appearing with all our settings were we can select our attribute, style it and more.

For a more in depth explanation on how to make an attribute swatch please watch our next video How to Create an Attribute Swatch.

  1. I can’t change the color of products options on my website. What should I do?
One more, how can I remove “This option is required” icon?

    Thank you!

  2. I already have a license for your plugin, which by the way works really great – one thing we miss the most is the CONDITIONAL LOGIC for PRODUCT OPTIONS – any idea if you will add this feature?

    Thank you!
